Data Backup
Protecting your data is key to ensuring your business runs day to day without critical down time or loss in revenues. We can implement and manage a data backup system for you so that you can focus on the rest of your business. All your important data is safely stored on remote servers and accessible whenever you may need it.

Our data backup will help you:

» Recover from hardware failures
» Reverse human errors like inadvertant deletions or overwriting of files, directories or websites
» Restore old CGI scripts when improvements backfire
» Mitigate hacker attacks and restore affected sites

What do you get?

» Daily or weekly backup of your server hard drive(s)
» Storage of your backed up data on our hardware in a secure area of the data center
» Data recovery if your disk is damaged
» Data installation into your new hardware

Advantages of Our backup:
» Fast recovery time
» Mainframe-like reliability and availability
» Compatible with Linux and Windows servers
» Scalable storage library infrastructure
» Lower transfer consumption for backups

Managed Firewalls
Defend your server with a NetScreen® Security Appliances firewall managed by our in-house network security experts. Designed to address the security requirements for businesses of all sizes, these dedicated firewall solutions will protect your server against online exploitation. Our firewalls perform industry-standard Stateful Packet Inspection. This means the firewall stores the information for every connection from start to finish. Using this information, it is able to determine the validity of the packets involved in that session. The International Computer Security Association has certified that the standards for securing IP communications via encryption and/or authentication have been met.

What does a firewall do?
» Blocks access to certain ports, making them unavailable to hackers scanning the network for a vulnerable service running on those ports.
» Filters both inbound and outbound traffic. This allows you to limit communication to and from particular location(s).
» Examines all traffic routed between two networks to see if it meets certain criteria. If it does, the traffic is routed through.
» Can help mitigate or lessen the effect of a DOS attack.
» Can help manage public access to private networked resources such as host applications, databases, shares, etc.
» Can be used to log all hostile or suspicious attempts to enter the network.
» Address filtering – filters packets based on their source and destination IP addresses and port numbers.
» Protocol filtering – filters specific types of network traffic based on the protocol used, for example HTTP, FTP or DNS.
» Can filter traffic by packet attribute or state.

You should consider a firewall if:
» you are running e-commerce applications.
» you are hosting sensitive data on the server.
» your server has been previously compromised.
» you need to limit access to data or applications on the server.
» you would like to set up a Virtual Private Network (VPN).

Professional Services
Our Professional Services team is at your service. Your time is valuable, so when you have more important things to do, trust us to take care of those everyday server tasks that need to be attended to. We can perform the following services on your server for you:

» Basic Security Scan - Scan your server for the top 30 viruses and their respective variants.
Cron Job / Scheduled Task Set Up - Create or modify existing CronJobs or Scheduled Tasks.

» Enhanced Security Audit - Perform a complete server-side scan including in-depth registry sweep, intrusion detection, root kit detection, warez detection, folder volume checks, user and permissions audit and patch update level determination. Each assessment includes a 30-minute security consultation from a our system administrator.

» Install and Configure Third-Party Mail Software (1 hour) - Install third-party mail software and configure all user and post office accounts.

» OS Re-provision - In the event an operating system becomes irreparable, we will reinstall your server's OS. (NOTE: This does not include restoring data).

» OS System Service Pack / Hot Fix Installation and Update - Apply and configure all known and certified updates and hot fixes available for a specific operating system at time of request.

» Server Software Rebuild - In the event your server is compromised or system files become corrupt, it may be necessary to rebuild the server software in order to return it to a working state. We will either rebuild the server or facilitate the rebuild through our provisioning department.

» Setting Up / Changing File Permissions - Set up or change file permissions.

» Software Install / Uninstall - Provide software installation and removal. Please note that due to software requirements, it may be necessary to physically ship the software to us for installation. All software sent will be returned.

» Virtual Configuration - Create up to 5 web or FTP virtual domains or any symbolic links.
» MS SQL Database Export - Schedule database exports.
» SSL Certificate Insta llation - Install SSL certificates upon request.
» Admin Time - Troubleshoot your server for hardware, software and operating system requests.
» Log File Rotation - Rotate out your log files so they don't get too large and affect your server's performance.
» Domain Configuration - Change or add up to 5 domains to your DNS, MS IIS, Apache or Email records.
» Add New Email Accounts - Add up to 5 email accounts to your email application already installed on your server.

Advanced System Monitoring

Fix minor glitches before they become major emergencies. Gain instant insight into your web server environment with our web server system monitoring. Round-the-clock system monitoring lets you address potential problems before they occur.

Why consider Advanced System Monitoring?

You need to verify service availability/uptime
You would like to keep track of web server resources and identify usage trends
You suspect a bottleneck related to system resources
You need to perform capacity planning for future growth

Features

SNMP Support - With our Advanced System Monitoring service we provide a pure SNMP agent; no proprietary protocols. This allows you to add your own additional 3rd party monitoring applications if needed.

Lightweight Footprint - With an average of less than 1% CPU utilization and 3MB memory, our monitoring service has a negligible system impact.

Complement Existing Tools - Our services provide information that can send industry standard SNMP traps to any SNMP-compliant NMS, enabling you to preserve your existing operational workflow and investment in other management software.

Exportable Reports - Reports can be exported in PDF or Plain Text format.

Services monitored for availability

HTTP - Standard Web Services (this can further be configured to look for a specific word on a page)
HTTPS - Secure Web Services
FTP - File Transfer Protocol Services
SQL - Database Services
Web server resources monitored

CPU Utilization - Observe CPU Utilization on a per-processor basis.
Disk Partition Storage Space available - Track disk usage by partition to ensure you do not run out of storage space.
Physical free memory (in bytes) - Monitor available memory to identify when additional memory is required.
Network interface utilization - Measure the utilization on your web server's network interface card.
High utilization can cause slow server response.
Available reports

At-A-Glance Report - A single page report that provides a summary view of the performance and availability of key web server resources, displayed in chart format.
Trend Report - Analyzes the performance of a resource or a group of resources based on specific variables.
Top N Report - A tabular report that lists all elements which meet certain user-defined report criteria.
MyHealth Report - From the web interface users can create a customized report that focuses on the most critical information in terms of web server performance and availability.
What-If Report - An interactive web-based tool that allows you to perform capacity planning and situational trend analysis.
